The ASiCon TP System (Anti Smell Infection Control Turner-Pierets System) was designed by Prof. J. Turner and F.Pierets Managing Director of ECO-BAY Co.,Ltd.
According to CiPHE (Chartered Institute for Plumbling and Heating Engineering, London) ASiCon TP System is “The simplest complete low-cost safe system, is a single combined soil and waste stack, with the waterless fittings and an AAV on top of the stack for individual stack venting.”

Why do we guarantee no smells from the appliances?
After full-scale tests were done on pressure profiles in drainage stacks at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University the researchers wrote in their conclusion:
“A smart trap should be developed to withstand excess air pressure”.
The latter is exactly what McAlpine did.
They developed a waterless trap incorporating a silicone valve called SCWV (Self Closing Waste Valve). The distinctive characteristics of the SCWV are that it allows water to flow through it and then closes, withstanding positive pressure, sewer gas cannot come out.
As a result, avoiding infection, and contamination. It protects the health of the people in the working or living spaces.
Another essential feature is that when there is negative pressure it acts as an AAV, giving air.
McAlpine provides 10 years of guarantee on the SCWVs.

Why is the cost of the drainage system 50% less?
Remember from our text related to Bloc 1 that the SCWV (Self Closing Waterless Valve) on top of being a trap:
- Withstands positive pressure (no smells come out)
- Withstands negative pressure (unlike a P-trap)
- When there’s air demand, the SCWV acts as an AAV and will give air.
Feature 1 & 2 already eliminates the need for venting pipes horizontally.
Feature 3 will provide air in the drainpipes to the stack and provide air in the stack when there is a demand guaranteeing optimal flow.
An AAV will be put on top of the stack to complete air demand, without roof penetration.
All the above makes sure that no venting pipes are needed at all.
Venting the WWTP will be discussed with the designer of the latter.
There is obviously someone who can exactly provide the owner with the savings eliminating all the venting pipes.

Why is the installation time 50% less?
Installing the McAlpine SCWV is straightforward and easier to install than a P-trap.
On top of that, it provides more installation options under the appliances all accessible above the floor for easy maintenance.
The McAlpine SCWV, being an AAV simultaneously, means there is no need for venting pipes where the appliances are placed..
Placing an AAV on the vertical stack eliminates time-consuming drilling holes in the roof and taking measures to avoid weather issues.
The latter also eliminates installing vertical venting pipes and related fittings not to mention less masonry time.
All the above saves plenty of installation time and no need for transport time supplying
venting pipes and related fittings.
Finally saving the installation time allows the owner, or developer to sell or rent the premises earlier, favoring the Return On Investment.
Again, there is obviously someone who can exactly provide the owner, or developer with the time saved by applying the ASICon TP System.

Why 50% less clogging?
AIR:
The flow of water in a pipe, being horizontally sloped, and vertically in the stack will highly depend on satisfying the air demand. Having an AAV on top of the stack and using SCWTs (Self Closing Waterless Traps) on the appliances give air at the point of need, they give it fast, and adequate. No venting pipes are needed.
The ASICon TP system does exactly the above.
WATER:
It is also a fact that lowering the flush volume of toilets, saving water, at the time was causing more clogging. To maintain a smooth flow, one needs to satisfy the air demand and provide enough water, no water, no flow.
We want to make clear that the ASICon TP System does NOT depend on two-pipe design or a one-pipe design.
Regarding water, we advise the one-pipe system but it is optional, this has to be considered between the designer the owner, developer.
Our advice is based on the following facts:
From 1930 on the one-pipe system was in general use and remains so 94 years later, being the basis for much of the US design codes.
In the UK they have four systems and are all one-pipe.
Bringing the S and WW pipes into one pipe brings the water, which has no use at all, into the Soil pipe, improving the hydraulic flow conditions and drastically avoiding clogging.
The only reason for not doing that is if one wants to recycle the wastewater. This has, so far, in Thailand proven not to be a commercially viable option.
We were told, by the engineers of a developer, that in an 800 condo building eliminating the venting pipes would save 4,500.000 THB.
Eliminating the Wastewater pipe, putting WW and Soil in one pipe, saved 15,000.000 THB together 20,500,000 THB
In reality, it is a lot more, and you will have a better functioning drainage system.
No smells from the appliances, hydraulic better flow conditions resulting in less noise, and last but not least drastically reduce clogging.
The considerable savings can hardly be ignored.
We just wanted to bring the facts in perspective.

นอกจากนี้ การลดปริมาณน้ำในสุขภัณฑ์ประหยัดน้ำ จะทำให้เกิดการอุดดัดดันมากขึ้น เพื่อให้การไหลของน้ำราบรื่น จำเป็นต้องเดิมอากาศและให้ปริมาณน้ำเพียงพอ
การออกแบบระบบ ASICon TP นั้นไม่ได้ขึ้นอยู่กับการออกแบบฬ่อสองหรือการออกแบบบบท่อเดียว
จากเหตุผลดังกล่าวเมื่อปริมาณน้ำมีความสำคัญทางเลือกหากเป็นไปได้จึงแนะนำให้ใช้ระบบท่อเดียว (การรวบท่อ) ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องหารือร่วมกันระหว่างผู้ออกแบบ เจ้าของโครงการก่อน ซึ่งคำแนะนำการรวบท่อมีพื้นฐานมาจาจากข้อเท็จจริงต่อไปนี้:
ตั้งแต่ปื 1930 เป็นต้นมา ระบบท่อเดียวเป็นที่นิยมใช้กันทั่วไปและยังคงใช้มาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ 94 ปี โดยเป็นพื้นฐานของมาดรฐานการออกแบบเป็นส่วนใหญ่ของสหรัฐอเมริกา
ในสหราชอาณาจักร มีมาตรฐานการวางท่อระบบ 4 ระบบและทั้งหมดเป็นระบบท่อเดียว

มีเหตุผลเดียวที่ไม่สามารถทำการรวบท่อได้คือ ต้องการรีไซเคิลน้ำเสีย ซึ่งจนถึงขณะนี้ วิธีนี้พิสูจน์แล้วว่าไม่ใช่ทางเลือกที่คุ้มค่า เพราะต้นทุนการทำระบบรีไซเคิลมีค่าใช้จ่ายสูง จึงยังไม่เป็นที่นิยมในไทย
จากการคำนวนของวิศวกรของผู้พัฒนาโครงการอาคารชุด 800 ยูนิต หากขจัดท่อระบายอากาศออก จะประหยัดเงินได้ถึง 4,500,000 บาท
การกำจัดท่อน้ำเสีย
S และท่อ WW มารวมกันในท่อเดียว จะช่วยประหยัดเงินได้ 15,000,000 บาท รวมเป็น 20,500,000 บาท
ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว มันช่วยประหยัดเงินได้มากกว่านั้นมาก และท่านจะมีระบบระบายน้ำที่มีระสิทธิภาพทำงานได้ดีขึ้น
ไม่มีกลิ่นย้อนจากสุขภัณฑ์ต่างๆ การไหลของน้ำที่ดีขึ้น ส่งผลให้ไม่มีเสียงดังและสุดท้ายแต่ไม่ท้ายสุด ช่วยลดการอุดดันได้อย่างมาก ทำให้ประหยัดงบประมาณก่อสร้างและมีประสิทธิภาพมาก
นี้คือการนำเสนอข้อเท็จจริงมีเหตุและผลที่ทำให้ระบบดังกล่าวไม่ควรมองข้ามได้
